Dan joined BioMarin Pharmaceutical in July 2002 and currently serves as Group Vice President, Development and Portfolio Strategy, with responsibility for pipeline product development, product strategy, and portfolio planning. He previously served in several roles in Business Development and Product Development at BioMarin. Prior to joining BioMarin, he was a consultant at McKinsey and Company in San Francisco, advising biotechnology companies. Earlier in his career, he worked as an NSF/Sloan Postdoctoral Fellow in Molecular Evolution at the University of Chicago.

Dan lives with his wife, Sarah, and three children in Castro Valley, California.
